| | On the Sunny Side of the Street
So I've been living in California for about five weeks now and I've realized some things:
1) It is a bad idea to assume that Southern California is warm all year round. So much for just bringing only one sweater when it has been like 12 degrees celsius some nights. Gah!
2) The scenery is worth the high price real estate: beach, hills, hot boys with sweet tattoos.
3) Even silk-stocking lawyers say, "dude" in court.
4) In-n-Out Burger really is what everyone says it is: AWESOME!
5) Jack in the Box is a short second.
6) I really heart authentic Mexican food. Note to Canadians: Taco Bell is not authentic Mexican cuisine. Oh and second note: Taco Bell does not serve Fries Supreme. I asked for it at the counter and the attendant looked at me weird.
7) Even 40-year-old men wear Billabong, Hurley, Volcom and O'Neill.
8) "Gnarly" is not a word that died in the nineties, it is still used here.
9) Practically one-in-three kids skateboard.
10) I really love California.
